Natural Gas Aggregation Opt-out Letters Mailed

Stow, Ohio, on June 16, 2022, Constellation NewEnergy will be sending an opt-out letter (sample letter attached [PDF]) to Stow residents currently enrolled in our Natural Gas Aggregation Program by the end of this week. The City is in the middle of a 4-year supply contract (we're at the end of year 2) at a rate of $2.84 per MCF, and the PUCO rules say that every two years letters must be sent to residents giving them a chance to leave the program free of charge if they want to. Stow residents always have the ability to leave free of charge, but the State of Ohio still mandates that notices be sent. No one's service is changing, and no one needs to respond to these letters, they can simply ignore them and they will remain in the program.

If anyone has more detailed questions, they should contact the supplier, Constellation. Constellation has a trained call center staff standing by to help with questions, they keep detailed lists of customer information, and they are the only ones who can add/remove someone from the program.
